APS patients are highly likely to have a blood clot. A blood clot to the heart is a heart attack. A stroke is caused by a clot forming in or moving to the brain. Those that have experienced a blood clot in the deep veins of their legs have had a DVT, or Deep Vein Thrombosis. If a clot dislodges from the DVT, it can travel to the lungs causing a life-threatening pulmonary embolism, or PE. Miscarriages in APS are common and may be caused by a blood clot in the placenta. - Blood Clots
